New Quality Bakery

I visit Toronto (Scarborough) every few months, and this time I was there for a short period, from Friday to Sunday. I've heard about this place through word of mouth, and I wanted to give it a trial run. As much as I've been loyal to all the different places over the years, let's break that routine and go all out. This place offers a variety of traditional Tamil foods, including Kothu Rotti, Mutton Rolls, Rice and Curries, as well as finger food items. Service: I placed my order via phone for Kothu Rotti and Mutton Rolls. The gentleman I spoke to was well spoken and articulated the spice level and whether I wanted to add gravy. I kept the order standard. When I arrived at the place, it was noticeably smaller than other take-out places. Don't let it fool you, as the service by Reno and his Uncle was top-notch! It felt like what a Family-run business should be. Price: For the type of food, quality, and portion size, this place has it nailed down. Considering the quality that is being delivered. Also, when you get more than 10 Mutton Rolls the price changes (lower). Food Quality: Over the 30+ years, I've had Kothu Rotti, and this was my first unique experience of freshly made-to-order rotti, as opposed to pre-packaged. Even the Mutton rolls were different in a good way. I personally liked the way they added red onions to the Kothu. If you haven't tried it yet, you should. I look forward to visiting New Quality Bakery more often. I wish them well in their family-run business, and I hope that others will give them a try.

Great service and brilliant with the recommendations. The BEST mutton roll I've had so far. Had that with a nice cup of Madras chai and it made my afternoon. The Lamprais is worth a taste! The portion size on one lamprais is more than filling for 2 folks.

They have really fire khottu roti in this place. If you ask for the regular chicken/mutton khottu, they give you options for how much gravy you want and how spicy you need it to be. Suffice to say, they nailed the gravy amount because it was not soggy; you can actually feel the texture of the roti. The spice was on point. For $12, the khottu roti is filling and worth it

Small bakery with mainly savory options. Came in at the end of day and they didn’t have much left. Cheap snacks Mutton rolls and chicken bun tasted delicious. Mutton roll was soft and flavorful and spicy. Chicken bun had good flavor but too doughy. Good customer service, they gave us one small dumpling to try.

The best mutton Kothu in town! Honestly this is hands-down the most authentic Kothu I’ve had…just like a warm homemade meal! You won’t be disappointed!

Doordash delivery. Steaming hot fresh. Beautiful flavors could have used more animal carcass. Mutton rolls and chicken patties. Chicken patties were dry but filled with meat. $69.10. The mutton rolls had the perfect amount of heat/fyah so damn flavorful. The ratings for this place is perfect and on par!! Loooook at all that damn greasy goodness....

This might be my favourite mutton kottu roti in the city. Very big portion for the price and the spice level was perfect but, I might have to be braver and try extra spicy! Family that runs the place is very nice and they have many short eats and snacks readily available! The 10 mutton rolls deal is probably one of the best food deals in all of Toronto! Highly recommend for any Sri Lankan and South Asian food lover!

Finger food tastes great! Second time going to get samosas in this bakery, and ended up trying the sweet buns, fish roll and chicken roll. All delicious, hot, and well spiced. The prices were so good too. Loved the masala Chai tea recommended by the staff. All round excellent service. I will definitely be going back regularly.
